Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine

The medicine referral service at Grove Lodge is run by Nicola Bromley, one of our Clinical Directors. Nicola qualified from Bristol University in 1999 and went on to obtain her RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2006. Nicola has extensive experience of dealing with challenging medicine cases and has been taking internal and external referrals for the past 10 years. Nicola achieved her Advanced Practitioner status in 2015.

We are able to accept a diverse set of cases due to the benefit of having a multi-disciplinary team and excellent on site 24-hour veterinary and nursing care. Nicola is passionate about analgesia and has published an article of analgesic constant rate infusions in 'In Practice'. Nicola also has extensive experience in endoscopy and is happy take referrals in this area.

Suzi Bailey

Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine

Suzi graduated in 2007 from the Royal Veterinary College, London and subsequently spent a year at the Royal Veterinary College doing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery. Suzi has since worked in busy small animal hospitals, gaining significant experience in medicine and surgery.

Suzi was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Small Animal Medicine in 2014 and became an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine in 2015. Suzi especially enjoys ultrasonography, endoscopy, cardiology and working on challenging medical cases. After joining the Grove Lodge Veterinary Group in April 2017, Suzi continued her studies and was awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Cardiology Studies in 2019. Suzi predominately manages the hospitalised inpatients and takes internal and external referrals in medicine and cardiology.

Away from work, Suzi enjoys cycling and participating in outdoor activities. She lives with her cat Ollie.
